...Except those snakes at EA released a shitty broken port that didn't even do half the shit they advertised just so they'd have an excuse to take down the fanmade version that actually made the game work for free. I hope they go bankrupt.

What I figured out recently is that I really love characters that are a puzzle to be solved. The reason I tend to like side & background characters more than main characters is because I hate having everything about them spoonfed to me. I love piecing together the side character's backstory and filling in the gaps myself. And that's probably why the Sims 2's premade characters appeal to me so much -- all of the characters are like that. |
its da sims babey!!
I'm gonna use this page to talk about the different neighbourhoods and my interpretations of the guys who live there based on what happened to them in my game.
When I first started making my way through households, I initially wanted to play through Strangetown. But, I also wanted to practice, so I ended up here first. I got endeared to Dustin incredibly quickly, especially with his relationship to his little brother, Beau, and now I really want to go back and replay what I've already done. I think I gave too much time towards homework with Dustin, where I think he'd probably want to sneak out and do stuff with Angela. I also think I didn't get Brandi out of the house enough -- fine at first, but since giving her a job doesn't work out very well, having her meet up with her almost-friend Dina (or Nina... but only one of them was gossiping with her in Glamour Life Stuff game guide) later on would be cool. I'm also considering relinking Skip in the family tree with SimPE, so that there's a chance the unborn kid can be a girl -- the idea of Dustin having a little sister is interesting to me :p | The Broke Family![]() |
In my first playthrough, I named the third kid Jack, because I happened to be watching a Jack Manifold stream in the background at the time and I couldn't think of anything else. Maybe I should come up with a bank of baby names so that I don't do something dumb like that again. Eh, well... it's not an awful name. If I was watching Jerma, I'd have named him Jeremy. If I was watching AverageHarry... you get the point.
Anyway... Dustin was really sweet to his little siblings. I feel that, even if there is some pent up resentment he has against his mother for leaving him to do a lot of child rearing, he also doesn't fully hold it against her. His only friend outside of Angela is Gordon, a robber who I envision acts as some kind of mentor to him, as they're in the same career track -- his serious personality and the fight they had sort of implies, to me, that Gordon kind of wrangles Dustin, who has this natural affinity for decieving people.
